Saint-Michel Environmental Complex Soccer Stadium

Montréal, Québec

This structure is the only one of its kind in the world, and was conceived to mirror the mineral strata in the adjacent quarry as well as the neighboring topography. The main roof is supported by thirteen straight box beams spanning 69 m, 500 mm wide by 4100 mm high, constructed of a combination of Nordic Lam and Nordic X-Lam, each weighing 77 tons.
