A mass timber structure harvested from sustainably managed forests was the obvious choice for Apex Clean Energy for the construction of their new headquarters. The 9-storey building located in Charlottesville, VA, boasts multiple sustainability features such as solar panels on the roof and natural ventilation. At the time of its construction, it was the first large-scale mass timber building in Virginia.
