Burr and Burton Academy Mountain Campus

Architect Randall Walter and the design team at Bensonwood responded to Burr and Burton Academy’s request for a LEED Platinum, net zero building. It provides a living classroom that demonstrates reduced energy use, superior structural and thermal performance. The structure uses a number of Nordic products, including I-joists and beams in Hi-R walls, and mortised-and- tenoned beams and columns that provide a structural framework for the facade’s fenestration.
